The weather where I live was glorious today. The sunshine was a welcome sight. I am grateful for this day. As news came of friends and loved ones touched by the virus, I needed to ground myself. So I took myself outside and got lost in my garden. By the end of the day I had: 1) pruned a large overgrown tree, 2) built a planter box and moved dirt from a pile into the box, 3) resurrected little potting containers from the garage and put soil and seeds in them to start tomatoes, eggplant and onions, and 4) created a pot of succulents from my garden for a dear friend’s birthday gift. I feel every inch of my body tonight… I ache… in a good way. I feel I am alive. There is something healing about the earth and nature and putting hands in soil. Maybe it is the farm girl in me, as I was raised on a farm. Or perhaps it is part of being human and needing some connection to nature. And needing to feel connection with life and living. I post a collage, with before and after of the yard and some of the fruits of my labor. I give thanks for my day in the Sun and in Nature!

Truly, her power she gives us. Give thanks to Mother Earth who lies here. Behold on Mother Earth the running streams; We see the promise of her fruitfulness. Truly, her power she gives us. Our thanks to Mother Earth who lies here.
